Description
For many years grocery retailers have been exploring the use of, and business case for dry misting. One participating retailer in the ECR group, Albert Heijn, has deployed this technology widely across their store universe, see news article. In this session, we heard from the Albert Heijn project leadership team and how they went about testing [for food safety, for reliability, etc] and then deploying the system across their fleet of stores. We also learnt about the results they achieved with positive impressions from the shopper, and then excellent results on shrink, especially bananas, where they saw a 44% reduction in shrink year on year.
