To manage perishable items, retailers invest millions in store hours for their associates to rotate products, to check for quality, to check for expiry dates, and to apply, where needed, a discount sticker.

In this meeting, we will hear updates and presentations from a number of retailers who have been putting into practice innovations, such as ledger based systems that prompt store associates to check only the sku's where an expiry date lead action is likely to be required. We will also hear about other innovations that can drive efficiency and compliance, such as RFID and 2d bar codes.
