I have been a board member for 3 years, and am proud to have been able to contribute to the work of the group, and to help the group zoom in on the research questions that most matter for retailers looking to embrace and wrestle down retail loss. A good example would be self-checkout, through this group the industry has been able to establish some benchmark data points that have helped all retailers better plan the business case for self checkouts and to build plans to increase participation but with improved scan accuracy, and fewer walkaways
