Description

RFID in Retail - Lessons from Ten Years of Use - Case Study Review

For fashion and sports retailers the use of RFID could now be said to be common place, with most of the largest retailers from Inditex, to M&S, to Decathlon, to Uniqlo, now celebrating the tenth anniversary of its initial deployment.

In this session, we will reflect, with a retailer case study, on this journey, looking back to the start of their ten year journey, what they did, what they got right and wrong, how they have looked to extend the use of RFID for more business benefits since the first use case, and then, after ten years, what they see the next ten years looking like, how do they imagine the use of RFID will change, and indeed, how the technology itself might evolve and the data become more integrated.

Expect in this meeting to get some new insights on the use of, and the ways to implement RFID. This meeting will be equally interesting to those at the start of the journey, as to those already ten years in!

This meeting is for retailers, brand owners and academics only.
