Forecasting can never be a precise science, stores are on the constant lookout for new ways to optimise the value they can recover from goods near their expiry date, before they donate to store colleagues, charities, send for animal feed or re-purpose. In this meeting, retailers in the working group will share updates on their latest learnings on new ways to design and implement price discounts / markdowns and from the adoption of new apps such as Flashfood or TooGoodToGo. The group to then discuss the key learning points.
