Description

RFID in The Supply Chain - Retailer Updates and UPS Case

In the retail context, RFID has helped stores improve their stock accuracy records, from 60% being wrong, to less than 2% being wrong, leading to fewer out of stocks and in fashion retailing, where there is nearly no switching styles / sizes, a 3-6% sales lift.

The working group has explored the use cases upstream for improved receiving and despatch, and some retailers have deployed use cases. We will hear from those retailers in this meeting.

We will also hear from UPS, and their ambitions to leverage RFID for more accurate parcel deliveries and fewer lost in freight claims.

After the presentations, the other retailers will share back their questions, comments, their takeaways and then their own "builds" to these learnings.

This meeting is for retailers, brand owners and academics only.
