In our meeting in November 2023, we learnt about the problem associated with the traditional access control systems, for example, keys, codes and cards, and the challenges of building an integrated, holistic and sustainable approach to access control.

We also heard examples from retailers on the use of new biometric technologies, such as facial recognition and finger prints for access control for store associates. In this meeting, we will hear updates from the retailers in the group on the use of biometrics, which for the retailer is free, secure and very hard to abuse.
