Description

Migros Ticaret A.Ş. operates over 3,600 stores, including neighbourhood M Jet stores and large 5M hypermarkets. They are the second largest supermarket business in Turkey.
Their self checkout journey began in 1979, and they are now deployed across all small and large format stores. They have invested heavily in innovation, in new design, such as hybrid checkouts, and technology to reduce losses, such as scan avoidance AI.
In this meeting, we will hear directly from Migros leaders, who will share the key highlights from their 45 year self checkout journey, the good, bad and ugly, and what they see as the next steps on their journey towards delivering greater shopper self sufficiency with minimal friction at the front end.
After their presentation, retailers will then share back what they learnt from the presentation that was new, different and surprising, what they might reapply and then share feedback and ideas back to the Migros team.
This meeting is for retailers, CPG's and academics only.
